General Information

The proportion of people with at least one untreated tooth decay when examining health peaked between 20 and 24 years, regardless of sex (48.8% male, 41.7% women) .

Regional variations

Between 15 and 24 years, the prevalence of tooth decay than 50% of men and nearly 50% for women in Picardy, Burgundy, Auvergne, Limousin and PACA. The least affected regions are Aquitaine, Poitou-Charentes and Pays de la Loire.

Between 25 and 59 years, areas of high prevalence of dental caries are located on a central axis of Picardy in Languedoc-Roussillon. The minimum was still observed in parts of western and south-west.

After 60 years, the geographical variability remains very close to that observed between 25 and 59 years old.

Instability and geography

Between 15 and 24 years, the regions most affected are substantially the same among non-insecure and in precarious.
