Bottle syndrome

Bottle syndrome is the rapid decay of teeth of a baby or a child because of frequent exposure for long periods, beverages containing sugar. The teeth most affected are the upper front teeth. The problem usually occurs when the baby falls asleep while drinking a bottle or when taking the breast. While the child is asleep, the liquid flowing from the bottle accumulate around the front teeth. The bacteria live in the mouth of the baby that sugar turns into acid, which is the source and the general responsible for cavities.
