The bottle is frequently used as a means to reassure and soothe an infant, and for the help asleep. Sometimes we even left him in his bed at night.

The bacteria ferment easily milk and sugary drinks. Until a child has a bottle available, the acidity in his mouth remains permanently high (see previous page). In such a case, even brushing several times a day can offset these continuous attacks of cavities.
It is not over-emphasize the risks of bottle syrup or other drinks containing sugar, milk, but also without any addition. If the bottle contains one of these liquids, it is imperative to remove the child when he has finished drinking, or does not complete within a reasonable time.
