Tooth decay
The teeth are organs implanted in the jaw, two bony arches which constitute the jaw. The teeth are made of ivory (or dentin) and covered with a hard white substance (the enamel). Inside the tooth cavity is filled with pulp, which is a fabric made of cells and fibers.
Tooth decay: Introduction
The tooth decay is an infectious disease that affects the hard tissue of the tooth. If we neglect to wash their teeth for more than 24 hours, it appear a yellowish layer, called plaque, which contains bacteria that convert sugars ingested to form an acid, responsible for the decalcification of hard tissue the tooth. Note that cavities grow faster in children than in adults.
Bunt single does not cause pain. It exposes the pulp of the tooth to cause irritation and sensitivity to certain stimuli. It also achieved the hard tissue at different levels.

Carie until the dental pulp
pain intermittently or continuously warm, cold and sweet;
risk of bad breath;
deep cavity in the tooth;
pulp possibility of necrosis, death of nerve (usually without pain);
transformation possible acute abscess (swelling, fever and intense pain) or chronic (without symptoms) until the complete destruction of the tooth.
